The Peace that passeth Understanding
Is found in the Silence of the Soul;
When Hearts and Minds in tune are chiming,
Their Even-song tides toward the goal.
As sturdy flames of living Fire
Burn calmly in the sacred Sea,
Eternal Rest and Peace and Quiet
Will soothingly encompass thee.
 
O God Within, Thy Voice is calling:
"Come home to the mansions of the blest";
Within away from strife and worry
Thou hast prepared a place of rest.
My body is thy sacred Temple,
My Heart, the Altar of sacrifice,
My Mind, the Priest in the Holy of Holies,
My Soul, Thine understanding Peace.
